Join Technology in Music Education UK (TiME), NMPATUK Music and many more for a day of workshops, exhibitions and networking opportunities.

With Music Technology and Inclusion highlighted in the revised National Plan for Music Education this event is a great opportunity to learn more about the range of technology and approaches that can support engagement and inclusion.

The day features interactive workshops, demonstrations, exhibitions and a chance to network with leaders, practitioners and manufacturers.

Speakers and workshop leaders include:

Leicestershire Music - Sarah Share - Assistant Head – Schools, Advice and Inclusion - The team at Leicestershire Music have developed a range of inclusive courses and workshops to successfully embed music technology in their offer.

Award-winning accessible instrument developers, Tim Yates and Tim Palm - Find out about LOOPFREE and the innovative and bespoke technology they have created.

NMPAT - Sound Control - The team at NMPAT demonstrate this new software that can turn any tech with a motion sensor into a playable instrument

Underground Creatives - Akshay Sharma and Vochlea - Shay will lead a workshop using the Voice to Midi Dubler 2 microphone tech from Vochlea.

Tim Clay - Music Technology lead at Leicestershire Music - Following the development of an accessible turntablism course Tim will be leading a DJ workshop

Chiltern Music Therapy - Technology plays an important role in Music Therapy and the team at Chiltern will share their recommendations

Filisia and the Cosmo Switch - Record, loop and trigger samples in any music software with these colourful switches and the Cosmo App.

The ODD Ball - The ODD Ball (as featured on TV’s Dragons Den!) is a fun and accessible way to make music - meet the team who created it and have a go at bouncing your way to some great beats!

Education and Bass - The team at Education and Bass have been working with Leicestershire Music to deliver music production classes and individual lessons at 10 Special Schools across Leicester.

RSL - Rockschool - We are excited to hear about the new inclusive approaches to music exams from Rockschool.

Offshoots C.I.C - Alongside the award winning music project ‘Circle of Light’ the team at Offshoots have been using new technology to create music using data generated by plants. Tricia Gardiner shares the results in ‘Shhh - Listen to the plants’.

Creative United - The team at Creative United are specialists in increasing access to the arts and creativity, and are the lead organisation for the Inclusive Music Consortium. They will be bringing along the ‘Instrument One’ by Artiphon and you can find out more about the Guide to Buying Adaptive Musical Instruments.

Arcana Instruments - We are excited to meet the team from Arcana Instruments and to see the incredible Arcana Strum in action!
