Connectivity 2

We are delighted to have received funding from Arts Council England to deliver Connectivity 2.

This project builds on the initial 'Connectivity' pilot project and is hosted in partnership with UK Music, North Tyneside Music Education Hub, Leicester Schools Music Service and The Northampton Music and Performing Arts Trust.

The ‘Connectivity 2’ project will see the development of three specialist teams and the delivery of a series of music technology events and gatherings to support all involved in music education The Teams will focus on three key areas and also with a common interest in new technologies

1. The SEN/D Team: This team brings together SEN/D specialists, educators and manufacturers. As well as making more people aware of what current music technology is available and how it can be used, the work incorporates an Accessibility Testers programme. Within this programme, developers and makers of new Music Technology equipment will be connected with educators and learners with additional needs to trial and evaluate new technology.

2. The Music Hub Tech Team: This team will connect with Music Education Hubs across the UK and look at ways to increase engagement with music technology, training and provision. The team will develop training and support sessions.

3. The Community and Inclusion Team: This team will work together to clarify and document the needs of community music education groups and help to build a countywide network. The team will look at providing pathway information that meets the needs of young people experiencing barriers to formal music education.

We will be sharing regular updates from our teams and on our events. If you would like to get involved or find out more please get in touch with us at TiME.
