Discover Careers in Music Tech!

Discover Careers in Music Tech!

Discover Careers in Music Tech is a new national programme from TiME, delivered in partnership with UK Music and supported using public funding by Arts Council England.

The programme brings together a series of interactive regional events designed to help young people explore how creativity, technology and careers connect.

Each event introduces participants to different areas of music technology, from music production and live sound through to digital instruments, performance technology, sound for film and creative software. It also shows how these skills are used in real-world settings such as studios, live events, film, games, education and the wider creative industries.

The programme also highlights innovation, instrument design and the process of developing new ideas, products and businesses in music technology.

Young people will meet professionals working across these areas, try out equipment and approaches, and gain a clearer understanding of the skills, pathways and opportunities linked to music and creative technology.

Who is it for?

The programme is for young people aged 14–25 in schools, colleges, music hubs, community groups and inclusive settings.

We are particularly keen to reach those who may not usually have access to music technology, industry networks or careers-focused creative opportunities.

What will young people gain?

For schools, hubs and youth organisations, the events offer a practical way to support careers education, creative learning and progression routes into the music and creative industries.

Get involved

We are inviting schools, colleges, music hubs, youth organisations, SEND settings and industry partners to get in touch.

You may want to bring a group, support local recruitment, contribute to an event, or help young people in your area access the programme.
